Spina bifida, Prader-Willi, Phelan-McDermid & Down syndrome
What do these four diagnoses have in common? They are the last four conditions that are served by the Florida Medicaid Waiver that we are reviewing.
In this Coffee Chat, Scarlett discusses the four categories of developmental disabilities that have clear-cut definitions for diagnosis. These final categories in the disorders that may qualify a person for Florida Medicaid Waiver services are:
-Spina bifida
-Prader-Willi
-Phelan-McDermid
-Down syndrome
If your loved one is diagnosed with any of these, you should definitely apply for the Waiver waitlist on their third birthday, or as soon as you receive this diagnosis after their third birthday.
