CDC Plus: What is the difference between a Quick and a Purchasing Plan Update?

Scarlett answers a question regarding CDC Plus (a program for a family already on the Waiver who has signed up for the Consumer-Directed Care program):

The Takeaways:

  • A Quick Update is only available for funds that are in your CDC Plus savings.
  • Quick Updates are intended to have a fast turn-around and could go into effect in as soon as five days from submission.
  • Quick Updates are only good for a year from the date of submission.
  • Purchasing Plan Updates must be submitted by the 10th of the month and take effect on the first of the following month.
  • They are for authorizations on the regular monthly services spending for your CDC Plus plan.
